You're my favourite fish guy, honestly most people on RUclips who keep fish/aquariums don't have a soul so thank you for putting the life back into this hobby/lifestyle. You're great, keep it up!
Great content - thanks for all the great information. Im from Melbourne Australia and I have learnt so much watching your videos. Ive only been "tankin' for about 6 months and I LOVE it. Thanks again. Cant wait for more of your vids.
T, have you tried using an ultrasonic humidifier to get your dry start method going? You can really dial in humidity in the tank without substrate saturation and requires less babysitting. ;]
I see you have red sea foundation and some polyplab coral food and some other stuff for reef tank my guess or question if you may is do you have a reef tank or are you stocking up for when you get one or a future build
What are your thoughts on a inline CO2 reactor, was curious since it’s high tech would hiding the CO2 be better? Are CO2 inline reactors considered High Tech?
I’m having issues with algae (BGA specifically) on my dry start. I’m on week 4.5 and will be flooding soon but I’m worried after flooding the algae will take over. Anything I should do prior to knock down the growth of algae?
I know there are different ways of doing this method, but I think you went wrong with keeping that low line of water. other methods say to just make sure the substrate is being sprayed and moist, but here shouldn't be any standing water at all. however, dwarf baby tears are supposed to be one of the harder carpet plants to grow anyway
I wouldn't. The vast majority of my R.E.S. turtles were very aggressive towards almost everything else in the tank (80 gal, at the time). One male killed many of the other smaller turtles and ate a number of fish. The other fish he couldn't kill, he'd nip at their fins. That's just my experience though, your turtles might be of a nicer temperament.
Now we're all waiting for the next one. And an update on the monster tank!

Get a inline diffuser on the canister. 👍
Howdy Canadian crazy Al.
Love your videos :) you're a funny guy.
How is the mega build coming along ?
You should move the co2 diffuser to the opposite side of the tank so the flow from the lily pipe will push it around

Small tip: lay a layer of kitchen towel at the bottom when filling so there will be no disturbance at all when filling it
Love your videos!

Where did you get the stand that your high tech tank is on? I’ve been looking everywhere for something like that!

With the substrate totally covered, how do you syphon the gravel (once water and fish are added)?
